In 2015, five designers from Switzerland and six Japanese designers visited each other and were invited to a design workshop tackling manufacturing along with companies in their respective countries. In Ishinomaki-shi, Miyagi prefecture, Ishinomaki Kobo, which began with the objective of restoration from the Great East Japan Earthquake, cooperated in holding workshops in Japan. Ishinomaki Kobo designs, develops and sells various products as a “DIY maker” that expands the possibilities of DIY with the power of design. I proposed a book rack and a fruit tray.

2015年にスイスのデザイナー5名と日本のデザイナー6名が、お互いの国を訪れ、それぞれの国の企業とともに、ものづくりに取り組むデザインワークショップが開催され、参加しました。日本では宮城県石巻市で東日本大震災からの復興を目的に始まった石巻工房がワークショップの開催に協力しました。石巻工房は、デザインの力でDIYの可能性を広げる「DIYメーカー」として、さまざまなプロダクトを企画・開発し、販売しています。私はブックラックとフルーツトレイの２種を提案しました。
