The Rivet Lamp uses vulcanized fiber, a material which has been around for almost a century. Made from wood pulp and cotton, this purely natural material excels in electrical insulation, heat-resistance, abrasion-resistance, and shock-absorbance. It is commonly used in motors, and also as abrasives. These characteristics make vulcanized fiber an ideal material for a lighting fixture. The Rivet Lamp is shaped from a single sheet of this material. The flexible sheet is simply, but precisely rolled into form, then riveted. Comes in black, gray, and khaki. The naturally matte finish fits comfortably in any type of interior.
